Tailored Together

We spent time with London and Madeline, a couple whose relationship is shaped by shared values, curiosity, and an easy appreciation for how things are made. Set in places they return to often, the story reflects not just what they wear, but how they move through the city together.

London Humphreys and Madeline Patton met through mutual friends. His first text reached her while she was in London, England, fitting, all things considered, and the feeling followed quickly. As Madeline puts it, “We almost immediately started dating, very much when you know you know!”

Madeline wears a custom bomber jacket, finished with a hand-drawn liner illustrating details personal to them. Her jeans are made to her measurements, cut to her preferred silhouette. London wears a corduroy jacket from Moreno Collective’s FW25 collection, paired with custom jeans.

London is described by Madeline as “naturally kind” and “a friend to everyone he meets.” This carries through with his reputation on the team. London, a wide receiver for the University of Georgia, is used to being asked about football. He also answers the questions Madeline texts him during the game. She’s still learning the intricacies and rules, but luckily, she has the perfect teacher.

When London describes Madeline, he points to her honesty, her sense of purpose, and a magnetic personality that makes her a joy to be around. Her caring nature, he says, has a way of brightening every room she enters. Madeline studies interior design at the University of Georgia and is a talented artist, drawn to spaces, texture, and detail. Together, they share an appreciation for craft, how things are made, how people show up, and the quiet impact of getting both right.

A partnership shaped by trust, respect, and the way two people show up for one another with consistency and care.

Madeline is pictured in a double-breasted corduroy blazer and her custom flare jeans. London is seen in his self-stripe suit with a slim notch lapel.

Every time we see Madeline and London, they’re laughing and trading jokes. It was no different when we asked London to toss her the ball. One throw (or five), a lot of laughter, and a moment that felt entirely their own.

We asked London and Madeline what they enjoy most together. Both expressed their love of  new experiences, whether it’s traveling to unfamiliar cities or trying a new local spot. Their shared curiosity for the world brings them together. Madeline and London shared a quiet moment in a place that’s long been a part of Athens. Madeline mentions that they love to try new restaurants locally and enjoy the Athens food scene, so it made perfect sense to photograph them at the well loved pub.

During their final fitting, the pair mentioned their indecision on where to go for their break from school. Staying home was not an option. A few days later, they were in NYC. Their plans consisted of trying new restaurants and exploring the city on foot, packing as much into their long weekend as possible.

Rule of thumb says to start simple. London never asked for the rulebook. For his first Moreno suit, he chose a vivid blue with a pink windowpane that felt confident, personal, and unmistakably his.

What initially drew London to Moreno was “the thoroughness of their work and the genuine care shown toward their customers.” Referred by friends, he now does the same for others. Now, his appointments have become something shared. After his first appointment, London brought Madeline in to help him curate his next suit. Her eye for design made her a natural part of the process. Locally owned businesses also hold a special place in her heart because of her mother’s work and volunteerism within the community.

They chose Moreno for its attention to detail and sense of place. From game days to quiet dinners, customization made personal, and a shared belief in supporting the local community that shaped them.
